<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor and a refrigerating cycle device using the same, preventing a protective cover from melting, smoking and igniting due to a secular change of the protective cover or overheating of a terminal portion caused by contact failure of a terminal section. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this hermetic compressor, a sealed vessel storing an electric motor section and a compression mechanism section is provided with a sealed terminal feeding power to the electric motor section, the resin protective cover is provided for protecting the sealed terminal, and the protective cover is provided with a wireless IC tag having a temperature sensor detecting temperature of the protective cover.
