<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent illegal delivery of a vehicle, particularly, a light vehicle represented by two-wheeled vehicles such as a motor-assisted bicycle and a motorcycle by a simple mechanism. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This vehicle lock device 1 includes a lock plate drive mechanism 3 for operating an openable lock plate 2 by the power of a motor 7 and used for arresting a vehicle 70 by the opening/closing operation of the lock plate 2. The lock plate drive mechanism 3 includes a first lock plate rotating shaft 22 which is rotated by the power of the motor 7 and which has an engagement insertion section 28 engaged with the lock plate 2. The lock plate 2 includes an engagement hole 66 into which the engagement insertion section 28 of the first lock plate rotating shaft 22 is engaged. The engagement insertion section 28 is engaged with the engagement hole 66 with a play provided in the circumferential direction so that the lock plate 2 can be rotated a predetermined angle in the opening direction relative to the engagement insertion section 28.
