<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical functional integrated element for achieving miniaturization and a high yield while keeping a low-loss optical characteristic and high reliability, in relation to an optical functional integrated element used for a terminal of wavelength multiplex optical transmission or single-core bidirectional optical transmission. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This optical functional integrated element includes: an optical element mounting board 4 with a plurality of light emitting elements or light reception elements 22, 23, 24 and 25 respectively mounted on a horizontal line of a board surface; a first optical functional integrated board 1 provided with a first inclined surface 20 having an angle with respect to board parallelism in one-side surface of the board for refracting light propagating in the thickness direction of the board; a second optical functional integrated board on which wavelength selection filters 8, 9, 10 and 11 and having propagating light wavelength transmission factors different from one another, and a mirror 21 reflecting the propagating light are mounted in one-side surface of the board formed of a material transparent with respect to the propagating light wavelength and on the other-side surface thereof, respectively; and a third optical functional integrated board 3 with second inclined surfaces 12, 13, 14 and 15 respectively formed; wherein all the boards are stacked in the board thickness direction.
