<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for detecting a cord in a tire bead part which can save labor and detect a protruded cord in a tire bead part quickly and surely. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method and apparatus for detecting a cord in a tire bead part allows a hooking means which hooks on to a protruded cord, which may protrude from a bead part of a tire, to be close to the bead part of the tire and to rotate relatively therewith and detects the displacement of the hooking means in the rotational direction, thereby detecting the protruded cord.
