<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which a conventional low-temperature electron microscope hardly spreads due to its high cost and a resulting high cost of low temperature observation of a biological specimen. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The pre-cryogenic electron microscope specimen holder includes a specimen holding means and a cryogenic energy storing means. The specimen holding means includes a liquefied gas storage space for storing liquefied gas therein. The cryogenic energy storing means is disposed under the specimen holding means, whereby the cryogenic energy can be continuously supplied to the specimen, and the observation time for the specimen in an electron microscope can be thus extended.
