The arrangement (10) has a container (14) for supplying an aqueous urea solution (12), a supply line (16) for conducting the solution from the container, and a pump unit (18) for conveying the solution. A separating unit (26) separates a phase of a hydrocarbon containing fluid (22) from the solution, where the phase stays in contact with the solution if necessary. The separating unit is arranged upstream to the pump unit and comprises an adsorption medium consisting of activated charcoal and/or bonding agent for binding the hydrocarbon containing fluid. An independent claim is also included for a method for supplying a solution with nitrogenous reducing agent to an exhaust strand of an internal combustion engine.
