<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a newly developed thermal transfer receptive sheet, having such an alcohol resistance as to keep the printed portion clear without loss or missing parts even after an alcohol washing process, which can satisfy the required functions such as image uniformity, blocking resistance, and scratch resistance in a high dimension. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal transfer receptive sheet is comprised of an underlayer and a receptive layer laminated in series on at least one surface of the resin base material, the receptive layer containing thermoplastic resin whose glass transfer temperature is 70°C or higher and silica at a weight ratio of 100:1 to 10:1, the underlayer consisting mainly of modified polyolefin resin. The thermoplastic resin of the receptive layer is preferably polyester resin or acrylic resin. As the modified thermoplastic resin of the underlayer, those containing no halogen or polyolefin halide can be used optimally.
