<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a coordinate detecting device having a high position detection accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the coordinate detecting device having a resistance film formed on a substrate and a common electrode for applying a voltage to the resistance film includes generating a potential distribution on the resistance film by supplying a potential to the resistance film from the common electrode, and detecting the contact position coordinate of the resistance film by detecting the potential of the contact position of the resistance film. The method of manufacturing the coordinate detecting device includes a step of forming the common electrode on the resistance film at the four side parts of the substrate with a rectangular shape, a step of measuring the potential of the resistance film by allowing a plurality of probes to contact with the surface of the resistance film, a step of calculating a resistance film removing area to allow the potential distribution at the resistance film to be uniform by a calculation part, and a step of removing the resistance film at the calculated resistance film removing area by a laser beam. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
