<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device which can encode data in a mountable and removable external memory so that the owner of the external memory who comes back to remove the external memory may decode the data in the external memory but a third party may not decode the data, in the case that the external memory is left not to be removed. <P>SOLUTION: When an external memory is determined to be left not removed after a job is executed, data in the external memory are encoded, and job information on an executed job is also encoded, and then these are stored in the external memory. For decoding the data, the input of authentication information relative to the encoded data (the input of the address of a transmission destination relative to an executed transmission job or the reading-in of a printed print image in case of a print job) is requested, and the owner is authenticated with the inputted authentication information.
