<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a path level redundant more flexibly and efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a path control method in a transmission system forming a virtual concatenation group by virtually concatenating path signals transmitted through a plurality of paths which are logical communication paths.
