PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet apparatus in which highly accurate detection can be repeatedly carried out as remaining of ink droplets at an ink detecting part is surely prevented. SOLUTION: The liquid jet apparatus includes both a jet head 3 with nozzles 47 for jetting a liquid, and a liquid detecting part 7 with a liquid receiving part 79 arranged opposed in a non-contact state to a nozzle opening surface of the jet head 3. The liquid detecting part 7 gives an electric field across the nozzle opening surface and the liquid receiving part 79 and detects a voltage change based on electrostatic induction when the liquid L is jetted from the jet head 3 towards the liquid receiving part 79.
