<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a dial plate capable of preventing erroneous recognition of indication by a needle member, and an indicator needle type device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When a sub-needle 23 provided between an upper dial plate 9 and a lower dial plate 8 is moved in a region straddling a first function display section 21 of the upper dial plate 9 and a second function display section 24 of the lower dial plate 8, the entirety of the sub-needle 23 is hidden to be under the upper dial plate 9 in the region at the first function display section 21 side. However, the tip portion of the sub-needle 23 is exposed from one exposure hole 22a out of exposure holes 22a of a needle exposure section 22 and indicates an indicator of the first function display section 21 corresponding to the one exposure hole 22a at which the tip portion of the sub-needle 23 is exposed. In the region at the second function display section 24 side, the entirety of the sub-needle 23 is exposed from a wide opening section 20 of the upper dial plate 9 and the tip portion of the sub-needle 23 indicates an indicator of the second function display section 24.
