PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new epoxy resin excellent in heat resistance or the like. SOLUTION: Disclosed are a new epoxy resin of general formula (1), its production method, a composition and its cured product. In the formula, E1 and E3 are each a moiety such as represented by general formula (3); E2 is a moiety such as represented by general formula (9); A1 and A2 each denotes an acid anhydride residue being a hydrocarbon which may contain an atom of P, N or O; n is a natural number; R denotes a hydrocarbon which may contain an atom of P, N or O.
