<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair dryer which has a heater board and electrode holder fixed and held by a simple structure to improve its durability and reliability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Inside a cylindrical body case, a blower fan to generate drying air, a motor for driving the fan, a heater unit to heat the drying air, and a discharging part 37 to generate ions are provided. The heater unit includes a heater board 24 radially arranged around the axis of the body case and a heater wire wound around the heater board 24, A recess part 26 is formed on the heater board 24. The discharging part 37 includes an electrode holder 41 formed of an insulating plastic material and a discharging electrode assembled to the electrode holder 41. The electrode holder 41 has connection grooves 57 on the front surface and side surface. The the front edge 68 of the recess part 26 and side parts 69, 70 continued to the front edge 68 are respectively inserted into the connection grooves and engaged with the connection grooves 57 to integrate the heater board 24 with the electrode holder 41.
