<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod for jigging, enabling a jig to be freely maneuvered by a relevant fisherman with a slight physical load thereon. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fishing rod 10 includes a fishing rod body 11, a slider 16 and a motion transformation mechanism 13. The fishing rod 10 holds a fishing reel 14. The slider 16 is slidable in the longitudinal direction of the fishing rod body 11. The motion transformation mechanism 13 functions to transform the reciprocatingly sliding motion of the slider 16 to the rotating motion of the fishing reel 14. The motion transformation mechanism 13 includes a crank. The motion transformation mechanism 13 has a connecting plate 22.
