<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of restraining fraudulence of fraudulently making a jackpot by using a fraudulent board. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The initial value for update of a jackpot random number counter C1 is changed based on the random number generated in a random number generating circuit 507 in each update cycle in the jackpot random number counter C1, and the update in the jackpot random number counter C1 is continued from the updated initial value, so that the cycle of appearance of each counter value can be changed in each update cycle of the jackpot random number counter C1. As a result, prediction of the value in the jackpot counter C1 using the fraudulent board is difficult while maintaining the uniformity of the random number in the jackpot random number counter C1 (the random numbers are not the same if the values are successively acquired, and all the values can be extracted at the same probability), and therefore, the fraudulence by using the fraudulent board can be restrained.
