PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forming method of a meandering annular coil for forming a desired valley part shape by solving the structural limit problem wherein a clearance between a die and a punch becomes not more than thickness for achieving an angle of inclination, which is close to 90°, by estimating a spring back amount in the forming method for performing press working in an axial direction while a diameter reduction stroke is performed. SOLUTION: In the forming method of the meandering annular coil for forming a desired V or U shape is press working where one punch advances between two dies so as to form a valley. On at least one side in which the die and the punch face, end parts R which the die and the punch face, are made in overhang shapes, and the two dies are made close to and separated from each other in accordance with advance or retreat of the punch.
