The present invention relates to a solid culture medium for the detection and/or discrimination, among glycopeptide-resistant enterococci, of the groups of species E. faecalis and/or E. faecium belonging to the groups of resistance to the VanA/VanB glycopeptides, and E. gallinarum/E. casseliflavus belonging to the group of resistance to the VanC glycopeptides, wherein said medium comprises, in a culture medium selective for enterococci, at least one chromogenic substrate forα-glucosidase and at least one activator of a colored reaction, chosen from methyl-α-glucoside and glucosyl-α-glucoside, or polymers thereof. |
