PURPOSE: An OTR(Over The Range) type microwave oven is provided to verify easily the cooking and warming state of the food by emitting different light inside a cavity according to the cooking or warming of the food. CONSTITUTION: An OTR(Over The Range) type microwave oven comprises a cavity(100), an exhaust path for a hood, a vent fan assembly(195), a heat source and a lighting device. The cavity comprises a cooking chamber(110) eccentric in the front side. The exhaust path for a hood is provided on top of the cavity. The vent fan assembly induces air flow flowing through the exhaust path for a hood. The heat source is provided in the upper one area of the cavity except for an intake flow path for a hood. The heat source offers the heat for warming the food inside the cavity. The lighting device is provided in the exhaust path for a hood and lights the cavity. The lighting device emits light of different colors in cooking the food and warming it.
