PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi machining unit in a machining machine capable of improving supporting rigidity in a moving direction of each machining head to a linear guide. SOLUTION: A pair of left and right second and third machining heads 21, 24 are reciprocally movably mounted in an X-axis direction on a lower frame 14a constituting a Z-axis movable body 14 through a lower X-axis guide rail 18. A pair of left and right first and fourth machining heads 20, 25 are mounted on a lower surface of an upper frame 14b through an upper X-axis guide rail 22. First-fourth machining heads 20, 21, 24, 25 are configured of base parts 20a, 21a, 24a, 25a and tool mounting parts 20b, 21b, 24b, 25b, respectively. The outer dimensions in the X-axis direction of the base parts 20a, 21a, 24a, 25a are set to be longer than outer dimensions in the X-axis direction of the machining heads of the tool mounting parts 20b, 21b, 24b, 25b. The extension direction of each base part is set to allow an arrangement pitch in the X-axis direction between respective tool mounting parts to be minimized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
