摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a readily processable material composition for optical use having suitable abnormal dispersibility, and to provide an optical element. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The material composition comprises ≥5 to ≤50 mass% of fine particles (A) of bismuth oxide, ≥49 to <95 mass% of an organic compound (B) having one or more polymerizable functional groups in one molecule, and ≥0.05 to ≤5 mass% of a polymerization initiator (C). The material composition is characterized by being 15≤νd≤50 and 0≤ΔθgF≤0.075 when Abbe's number is νd and the degree of abnormal dispersion of F line and g line is ΔθgF in a cured product thereof.
