PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a roll capable of reliably removing, squeezing and cleaning a liquid adhering to a surface to be cleaned over a long period of time, and a cleaning equipment mounted with the roll while suppressing the cost low. SOLUTION: The roll 1 has a roll section 2, and a pedestal 3. The pedestal 3 has a main body section 7 where an opening 10 is formed and a joint section A8 and a joint section B9 connected to both ends of the main body section 7, respectively. A hollow section 11 is formed in the joint section A8, and/or the joint section A9. The hollow section 11 communicates with the opening 10, and hole parts 13 communicating with the opening 10 are opened on the outer periphery of the main body section 7, and the roll section 2 is formed. The roll section 2 is configured by stacking a plurality of nearly circular roll pieces 4a, 4b made of non-woven fabrics and has roll pieces 4b provided with notched parts on the inner periphery. The notched parts are continuous in the longitudinal direction of the main body section 7, and thereby a plurality of fluid diffusion groove parts 14 are formed.
