<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color processing apparatus and a color processing program that secure continuity of colors and expands and uses a color gamut while suppressing a decrease in color reproducibility such as a hue and graininess. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A first color conversion unit 11 converts an input color signal into an neutral color signal within an output color gamut. The output color gamut at this time is a color reproduction range which is smaller than a maximum color gamut that output equipment reproduces and larger than a color gamut that meets ink amount production conditions and satisfies a color material total amount limit value, and preferably includes an enclosure where colors continuously change. A second color conversion unit 12 converts the neutral color signal into an output color signal of an output color space containing ink satisfying the color material total amount limit value of the output equipment according to ink amount generation conditions such that the amount of ink used for at least a high-saturation and low-intensity range is made less than the maximum usable amount of ink.
