Disclosed are a method and a system for advertisement of a map using a virtual POI. The system for advertisement of a map using a virtual POI includes a map database including map data; a member database including advertisement display set information; a virtual POI database in which information on the virtual advertisement POI and advertisement location, i.e. the location of the virtual advertisement POI, are stored; and a virtual world creating module for creating an image map based on the map data, and searching a virtual advertisement POI associated with the location which can be marked on the image map and corresponds to the advertisement display set information and marking the searched POI on the advertisement location of the image map. |
