PURPOSE: A front side member assembly is provided to improve collision energy absorbing capacity against a high-speed collision by forming a bead on each corner within the appointed section of the front end of a main member having a diaphragm inside and forming a space with the diaphragm removed on the inside, and to have the optimum collision performance by reducing the impulse transferred to passengers. CONSTITUTION: A front side member assembly(1) contains a main member(3) made of an extruded aluminum tube, and provided with a cross-shaped diaphragm(21) formed integrally on the inside, a bead(BD) formed on each corner within the appointed section of the front end and a space formed on the inside by removing the cross-shaped diaphragm, a rear member(5) arranged on the rear end of the main member, an upper reinforcement beam(7) inserted through a mounting portion of the main member and an opening of the rear member, a lower reinforcement beam(9) covering a bending portion of the main member and the lower part of the rear member and fastened together with the upper reinforcement beam on the main member and the rear member with rivets(R), a mounting bracket(11) fastened on the front end of the main member by rivets, and front and rear auxiliary brackets(13,15) mounted on the lower front and the rear of the main member.
