APPARATUS FOR BALANCING OF BATTERY PACK HAVING FUNCTION OF PREVENTION OF OVER-DISCHARGE

PURPOSE: A balancing apparatus of a battery pack is provided to prevent the over-discharge of cell caused by the malfunction of a control processor in a process balancing charge voltage of the battery cell. CONSTITUTION: A balancing apparatus is for balancing charge voltages in each of the battery cells in the battery pack(100), and includes: a discharge resistance(Rd) arranged on a wire connected in parallel to both ends of a battery cell; a balance signal relay unit(210) for relaying the charge voltage of a relevant battery cell in accordance with a balance control signal; and a discharge switching unit(220) for taking the charge voltage of the battery cell relayed from the balance signal relay unit, as a driving voltage, and discharging the battery cell by connecting the battery cell and the discharge resistance if the driving voltage is higher than an effective voltage level.
