A METHOD TO STORE DATA INTO FLASH MEMORY IN A DBMS-INDEPENDENT MANNER USING THE PAGE-DIFFERENTIAL

PURPOSE: A method for storing data in a flash memory through an independent method from a DBMS(Database Management System) by a page-differential is provided to reuse an existing disk-based DBMS as a flash-based DBMSs. CONSTITUTION: A difference is generated by comparing a logical page with a reference page within a flash memory. The difference is recorded in a write buffer. If the write buffer is full, the difference is stored in the flash memory. After reading the reference page and a differential page, the logical page is generated by merging differences within the reference page and differential page.
