Air dryer with integrated regeneration control and method for operating same

The air dryer (10) has an air conditioning device (20) arranged in a conveyor line (16) and provided with a drying agent. An air outlet valve (22) is arranged upstream of the air conditioning device. A check valve (24) is arranged downstream of the air conditioning device. The air conditioning device includes a cyclone filter (46) for separation of oil and dust particles. A regeneration control valve (28) is arranged parallel to the check valve at the conveyor line, where the control valve is switched depending on a pressure level in the conveyor line. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an air dryer with integrated regeneration control for a commercial motor vehicle.
