Methods of regulating blood glucose using an insulin pump are disclosed. A method includes storing a target blood glucose level in the pump. The method also includes receiving a current blood glucose level, and comparing the current blood glucose level to the target blood glucose level. The method further includes, upon detection of a current blood glucose level lower than the target blood glucose level, calculating a carbohydrate value required to change the current blood glucose level to the target blood glucose level. |
