INTERFACE FOR DIGITAL SIGNALS AND POWER SUPPLY SIGNALS, HAVING A SWITCHABLE CONSTANT POWER SOURCE

The interface has an input-connection for selectively receiving of mains alternating voltage signal (U-netz) or digital low-voltage signal (U-bus). The inlet connection is connected with a fixed main voltage switch, which switches a current source in the received operation by applying the mains voltage signal or a high-level digital signal in the inlet connection. The inlet connection feeds the primary side of the potential separating element on whose secondary side the interface produces output signal. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an interface.
