MANUFACTURING METHOD OF FLAME-RETARDANT EPOXY COMPOUND

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing flame-retardant epoxy compound is provided to maximize polyoxazolidone through the control of side reaction and to suppress the generation of secondary or tertiary amine, thereby producing a flame-retardant epoxy compound with high glass transition temperature, excellent fire retardancy, adhesive property and mechanical and chemical properties. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing flame-retardant epoxy compound comprises the steps of: (i) forming a bridge by reacting a polyepoxy compound with at least one compound of alkoxy silicone and alkoxy silane compounds; and (ii) forming an oxazolidone ring at the end by reacting the polyepoxy compound having the bridge with isocyanate or cyanate compounds in the presence of a catalyst. The polyepoxy compound comprises an alcoholic -OH group.
