摘要 PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for viterbi decoding and a method for reconfigurable convolutional encoding using a universal signal processor are provided to increase effective transmission efficiency by changing a channel code with software. CONSTITUTION: An encoder configuration part(110) converts a generation polynomial matrix to binary using a parameter including the generation polynomial matrix, a decoding depth, and a decoding length. The encoder configuration part comprises an encoder by calculating a necessary memory space. A table generator(120) comprises a determination data table, a branch signal combination table, and a state transition table for the viterbi decoding by the encoder. A decoder configuration part(130) comprises a decoder using a table made by the table generator. The decoder includes a branch matrix calculator, an ACS(Add-Compare-Select) operator, and a transmission information determining unit.
