PURPOSE: An electronic balance and control method thereof are provided to indicate weight as weight percent or percentage and reduce the time for calculating the amount of materials. CONSTITUTION: An electronic balance comprises an input unit(13), a measuring unit(11), a microprocessor(12) and a display unit(15). Ratio information is inputted through the input unit from a user. The measuring unit measures the weight of materials. The microprocessor converts the weight measured in the measuring unit according to the ratio information inputted through the input unit. The display unit is controlled by the microprocessor and indicates the weight. The input unit comprises a next material key. The microprocessor changes the weight changed after the next material key is selected. The input unit has an output selection key selecting the value displayed on the input unit.
