A hydraulic brake apparatus for a vehicle has: a wheel cylinder to brake a wheel; a reservoir (4) to accommodate brake fluid; a master cylinder (1) to which brake fluid is passed from the reservoir in order to generate a maser cylinder pressure according to the amount of brake pedal (3) activation; a force pressure generator to generate a force pressure; a controller (6) to control the force pressure that is generated by the force pressure generator in order to generate a control pressure according to at least the amount of brake pedal activation; a generator (7) to generate a hydraulic pressure according to the control pressure that is generated by the controller and to pass it to the wheel cylinder; and a valve to connect the master cylinder to the wheel cylinder or to block the connection of the same. The valve is operated mechanically by the operation of the generator
