Disclosed are: a composition comprising a polylactic acid, which is improved in the injection-moldability; and an injection-molded article formed from the composition. Specifically disclosed is a specific polylactic acid composition satisfying all of the following requirements (a) to (g): (a) the weight average molecular weight is 70,000 to 700,000 (inclusive); (b) the total content of an Sn atom, a Ti atom, an Al atom and a Ca atom is 3 to 20 ppm (inclusive); (c) the content of a P atom is 3 to 3000 ppm (inclusive); (d) the ratio of the total number of gram-atoms of Sn, Ti, Al and Ca to the number of gram-atoms of P is 0.01 to 5 (inclusive); (e) the content of a compound having a molecular weight of 150 or less is 0.2% by weight or less; (f) the concentration of a COOH terminal group is 30 equivalents/ton or less; and (g) the melt viscosity (P) at a melting temperature of 230°C satisfies the following formula (1). 10 Pa s < P < 100 Pa s (1).
