The dishwasher has a switching unit provided for switching of an auxiliary function for changing a parameter e.g. temperature, of a selected rinsing program e.g. intensive program, with respect to usage of a combination compound with working substances when switching the auxiliary function. The auxiliary function is provided for 3 in 1 combination compound with a cleaning substance, a softening substance and a clear rinsing substance. The compound is used in a form of a pressed tablet or power or fluid. A display-LED is provided for backfilling of the clear rinsing substance. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating a dishwasher.
