A feeder device moves the work piece in feed direction (46), and a sawing device (24) separates the work piece, where cutting direction of the sawing device runs transverse to the feed direction. Processing units (48, 50) processing the work piece are placed at distance from a cutting line of the sawing device, and are movable parallel to the cutting direction. The processing units are arranged such that the units engage at the work piece outside of a saw notch (31) provided in a machine table (16).</p>
