PURPOSE: A portable terminal and a remote control method thereof are provided to set a remote control condition of the portable terminal according to environment by setting a condition for remote control. CONSTITUTION: A condition for entering a remote control mode is set(S10). A call connection request is received. If the call connection request accords with the set condition, a remote control mode is set(S40). A function control signal is received according to the set remote control mode(S50). A remote control function corresponding to the received function control signal is executed(S60).
