<p>The tire (10) has a localized protection element arranged in a sector. A wall (23) between a top (21) and a tire bead (22) is pinched between a projection (17) and an obstacle e.g. pavement, external to the tire. The element has a global compressible capacity with an elastic deformation in a direction of constraints with a determined global rigid module for partially dampening the constraints without simultaneously causing a harmful constraint in a direction tangential to reinforcements of the wall. The wall has an inner lining provided with a butyl rubber base. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a tire.</p> |
