PURPOSE: A method for controlling a generator in a hybrid vehicle accident is provided to maintain an equilibrium state of the generator by measuring and calculating mechanical energy transferred to the generator in operation time after circuit disconnection of a power cable. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling a generator in a hybrid vehicle accident includes the following steps of: measuring potential energy of a vehicle power cable after detecting vehicle collision; detecting the electricity generation amount using a generated energy detection sensor; confirming mechanical input putting into the generator; determining acceleration energy of the generator based on the generated energy, the potential energy, and the electricity generation amount; decreasing the mechanical input; and outputting the generated energy of the generator.
