PURPOSE: A composition containing complex medicinal herb extract as an active ingredient is provided to suppress topical allergic reaction and general allergic reaction and prevent and treat allergic disease. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing and treating allergic disease contains medicinal herb mixture extract of Rosin, Angelica dahurica and Phellodendri Cortex as an active ingredient in 1~15: 1~10: 1~10 of weight ratio(w/w). The medicinal herb extract is isolated using water, low alcohol of 1-4 carbon atoms or their mixture. The allergy is anaphylaxis, allergic rhinitis, asthma, allergic conjunctivitis, allergic dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, urticaria, insect allergy, or food allergy. A functional health food for preventing and relieving allergic disease contains the medicinal herb complex extract as an active ingredient. The functional health food is used in the form of powder, granule, tablet, capsule or beverage.
