<p>The device (10) has a wedge (44) fixedly arranged in a transportation plane of a product stream and engaging between cam rollers (47, 48) arranged symmetric to a central working plane. The wedge engages between flanking guide plates (45, 46), which together with the wedge limit a bifurcation. The guide plates have slots at which the guide plates are clamped by cams (49) of the cam rollers so that the cams and the guide plates form an inlet for strip lines (11, 12) attached to a sub-stream.
