The device has a holder provided in the interior of a housing, and refrigerants stored in the interior of the housing. The housing has an opening for forming a passage in a container to dispense resources from the container, where half of the opening extends into the interior of the holder. The opening is located near the bottom of the interior of the housing, where the opening is completely enclosed. An insert is provided in the opening, such that the insert is movable into the opening to completely encircle the remaining portion of the opening. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a bag-in-box type package for a drink (2) a method for providing a dose of cold drink.
