PURPOSE: A mobile device having an infrared pointing device is provided to attain miniaturization by forming small holes for receiving infrared in a keypad. CONSTITUTION: An infrared transmission sensor(10) is included in the upper end of a mobile device. A plurality of holes(20) are formed in a keypad of the mobile device. An LGP(Light Guide Plate) guides infrared received through the holes. An optical position detecting sensor determines a receiving position of the infrared received through the LGP.
