PURPOSE: A scan device of a registered seal image and a method thereof are provided to produce an electronic document more quickly by adding an image file, generated by scanning the registered sear, to the electronic document. CONSTITUTION: A memory(21) stores a scanned seal image. According to an operating state of a main body, an LED(Light Emitting Device)(24) displays paper preparation, a registered sear affixing request, and scanning or generation of a failure. A scanner(27) scans the registered seal image contactlessly. A controller(29) transfers a guide message corresponding to the operating state of the main body to the LED, scans the registered seal image by transmitting an operation instruction to the scanner, and stores the scanned image in the memory. |
