<p>A stocking or sock (N) with a foot portion (P) comprising a pocket (A) for containing the. big toe that is separate from the pocket (s) (B) for the other toes, wherein at least one medial reinforcement (C) integrally attached to said foot portion (P) entirely or partially surrounds said pocket (A), the medial part (M) of the foot portion (P), and the posterior part or heel (T) of the foot portion (P), being anchored to the posterolateral or lateral part (L) of foot portion (P) and coming to bear on the anterior part of said pocket (A), thereby counteracting any lateral deflections, and on the medial part, corresponding to the metatarsophalangeal joint (P2) and the first metatarsal of the foot, thus counteracting any medial deflections.</p> |
