PURPOSE: A head for an inkjet printer is provided to reduce error in assembling process as well as to reduce the assembling area of a head without influencing the performance of the head. CONSTITUTION: A nozzle plate(1), a reservoir plate(2), a limit plate(3) and a chamber plate(4) are manufactured separately in nozzle row unit to form a head assembly(5). Plural limit grooves(6) are formed on each side of the head assembly to limit the position of the head assembly by inserting pins(P) of a jig(J) thereto. Plural aligned plates(7) are installed at the lower surface of the head to combine the head assembly through bonding after the head assembly is limited in position. Inclined portions(8) are formed at the end of each aligned plates to contact the aligned plates in suction and wiping of the head. The head assembly is laid on the jig, and the pins are inserted into the limit grooves respectively. Thereby, the aligned plates are closely adhered to the lower part of the head assembly. The head assembly has smaller size and sectional area than the existing assembly. The head assembly has a small sectional area for assembling the plates(1,2,3,4). Thereby, error in assembling is reduced remarkably.
