PURPOSE: A primer set and a probe for Salmonella typhimurium detection are provided to quickly and accurately detect Salmonella typhimurium without enrichment step. CONSTITUTION: A primer set for detecting Salmonella typhimurium contains oligonucleotide comprising 15 or more serial nucleotide fragments in a sequence of the sequence number 1 and a primer set containing oligonucleotide comprising 15 or more nucleotide fragements in a sequence of the sequence number 2. A kit for Salmonella typhimurium detection comprises the primer set of sequence numbers 1 and 2 and reagent for PCR.
