Thiazole carboxylic acid anilides and their use as fungicides

Disclosed is a thiazolecarboxanilide of the formula (I) in which the variables are as defined below: A is substructure (A1) or (A2) X is halogen; Y is cyano, nitro, C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C4-haloalkyl, methoxy or methylthio; p is 0 or 1; R1 is hydrogen, halogen, C1-C4-alkyl or C1-C4-haloalkyl; R2 is hydrogen, methyl or halogen; R3 is hydrogen, methyl or ethyl; W is oxygen or sulfur. The disclosure also relates to the use of the aforementioned compound for controlling pathogenic fungi.
