Provided is a granulated dietary fiber composition comprising from about 48% to about 90% (w/w) glucomannan, from about 5% to about 20% (w/w) xanthan gum, and from about 5% to about 30% (w/w) alginate. Further provided is a food product comprising the composition and use of the composition in a method cosmetic method for promoting satiety and/or promoting weight loss, in a mammal, comprising administering to a mammal an amount of a granulated dietary fiber composition effective to promote satiety and/or to promote weight loss.
